Ahmed Kabiru AbdullahiMalam Ahmed, Kabiru Abdullahi, erstwhile Vice-Chairman of Agege Local Government Area, was born on the 29th of December 1966 in Agege, Lagos.
He attended Faidiyat Uloom-ul Arabiyat Al Islamiyat in Agege from 1970 to 1982 (including evening classes). He joined St Peters Blessed School II, Agege in 1974 and was there till 1979 when he obtained his first School Leaving Certificate. Between 1980 and 1985, he was at Iloro Grammar School, Agege where he sat for and also obtained his West African School Certificate, Ordinary Level.
He proceeded to the School of Basic Studies at the prestigious Ahmadu Bello University, (ABU) Zaria, between 1986 and 1987, obtaining IJMB Advance level Certificate, which qualified him for direct entry admission into the Department of Architecture in 1987. In 1990, Malam Abdullahi, after successfully meeting the requirements of the institution, was awarded Bachelor of Science Degree in Architecture. This he followed with a Master of Science Degree in Architecture in 1992 after which he proceeded for the National Youth Service Corps, (NYSC) scheme, completing same in 1993.
He cut his professional teeth as a professional architect at Participant Properties Limited in Victoria Island, where he rose to become the Manager, Property Development (MPD); a position he occupied between 1994 and 1996. He ventured into Public Service in 1996 when he was appointed member of the Local Education Authority, Agege Local Government Area. He later contested for the position of the Vice Chairman of the same Local Government Area, won and served in that capacity from 1996 to 1997.
He featured prominently in the democratic struggle that ushered in the 4th Republic as Secretary of Arewa Community in Lagos State and was a foundation member of the Alliance for Democracy (AD) in 1998. His dedication and contribution caught the attention of the then Governor of Lagos State, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who appointed him as the Chairman, Lagos State Planning and Environmental Monitoring Authority, (LASPEMA) in 2001, serving the state in various capacities as Chairman and General Manager till September 2015.
On 10th of September, 2015, Governor Akinwunmi Ambode appointed Malam Abdullahi as the Executive Secretary of Lagos State Water Regulatory Commission, (LSWRC).
Malam Ahmed, who loves Reading, Swimming and playing Table Tennis, is married and blessed with three children.
